Turkeys

The turkey is brown with some orange-yellow feathers on the tips of wings and on the tail. The male turkey has colorful feathers and a long wattle at the base of its bill.
Every year, Americans eat countless turkeys on Thanksgiving. The White House pardons a turkey each year. The Turkey would then be free from harm and live out their days in comfort at the zoo. This tradition can be traced back to Abraham Lincoln.
Benjamin Franklin, an American famous scientist, statesman, and philosopher, thought that the turkey was more qualified than the bald eagle to represent America. In his option, the bald eagle is generally poor and often very lousy and has bad moral character, like men who live by robbing. On the other hand, he preferred turkeys because turkeys symbolized the bravery of early American settlers who fought back when being agitated b the British.
